Juliette De Maeyer holds a doctorate (2013) from the Free University of Brussels, and she has been an associate professor in the communication department of the University of Montreal since 2014. Her research focuses on materiality, technologies and epistemology of journalism, often with a historical approach. She is co-founder of a number of labs and working groups on journalism, the digital humanities, media history and archives.
