My Mother subscribed to the SE Post for several years and I read it then.
Have read S.E.POST since I was about 10. Loved Hans Schnibler and his peckenclacker. Also the great illustrations by Norman Rockwell.
The Barbarian cartoon is the best. Sometimes you just have to “raise a little hell.”
I enjoyed these cartoons and jokes when I was 10 in 1960
I like them all, especially the artwork. My favorite though is the bottom ‘toon by Ed Lepper. The quote here seems more like a modern (1963) ad guy talking to another about selling the sizzle without the steak. It’s one of the best lines I’ve heard since “If you think you hate it now, wait’ll you drive it!”
Look forward to this article. Saturday Evening Post is one of the few magazines I now subscribe to. I used to get a dozen or so. Now, 3.
